Community Heroes

There are so many incredible people at the heart of Fort Greene Park’s history—which is why we’re proud to help organize Community Heroes, a project founded by Jasmin Chang and Zac Martin to help document everyday neighborhood heroes. Featuring six Fort Greene locals a year, we work with young artists to write and photograph profiles of these heroes from our community, and host an annual celebration to honor their important work. Community Heroes is created in partnership with local youth writers and photographers, Friends of Commodore Barry Park, and Photoville.
