Information Collected by FGPC

FGPC collects contact information whenever you sign up for our newsletter or promotional email mailing lists, or when you otherwise provide personal information on our website.  We also gather contact information when donations are made to FGPC online or via mail. 

FGPC may also collect information from public sources, third party companies, or other organizations that we may combine with information from other sources.

Our website automatically collects non-personally identifiable aggregate information, which may include visitors’ browsers, operating systems, Internet Service Providers, and other similar information.

How FGPC Uses and Shares Information Collected 

You will only receive email newsletters from us if you have (a) expressly signed up to receive emails from FGPC through fortgreenepark.org, (b) taken action on behalf of FGPC either online or in person; (c) signed up to receive emails at park events; or (d) become a FGPC member. FGPC uses this information to contact you and send you park updates and promotions, press releases, information about public programs, events and activities and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, FGPC uses this information to send you donation, membership, and renewal appeals.

In order to provide you with better and more relevant information, we compile information that is used for statistical purposes to monitor how users navigate our website, allowing us to tailor our website to better accommodate users, email response and website usage patterns and also what types of content and information may help improve your user experience on the website. You may subscribe or unsubscribe to any newsletter or email communication from FGPC at any time.

FGPC may share your information with our partner, the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. FGPC may also use third-party vendors to help us maintain and operate our website and to operate our business, and those vendors may receive your personal information for those limited purposes. Children’s Privacy

Our Website is directed toward and designed for use by persons aged 13 or older. FGPC will not approve applications of, or establish or maintain accounts or memberships for, any child whom we know to be under the age of 13 without parental consent. FGPC does not knowingly solicit or collect personal  information from children under the age of 13. FGPC encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s internet usage and help enforce this privacy policy by instructing children to never provide personal data to us without their permission. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any personal information to us, and rely on a parent or guardian to assist you. If FGPC nevertheless discover that they have received personal information from an individual who is under the age of 13, FGPC will delete such information from its systems. Additionally, a child’s parent or legal guardian may request that the child’s information be corrected or deleted by contacting us at privacy@fortgreenepark.org.
